Assignment: The Landscape Revisted
Assigner: Alan Gastelum
Description: I have recently taken a trip with friends to Woodstock and decided to bring my 4x5. I woke up one morning at 5am, loading my film holders, grabbed my tripod, meter and camera; and went out to make a few photographs of the morning landscape.
While sitting in the woods, waiting for the sun to come up a bit further, it all caught up with me, how long it has been since I last sat with a landscape alone and really just took time to appreciate it. I also realized how special the film process is and how it really slows you down, again, to appreciate the act of making a photograph.
The assignment for this month is to revisit the landscape alone and photograph it using a film camera.
